Last Wednesday probably started out like any other day for Kathi. She went to lunch with her husband and did her normal stuff. She was teaching seminary that afternoon and started getting a migraine and went to get a drink and never came back. The kids found her in the hallway passed out. They rushed her to the hospital only to find out that she had suffered from a brian hemorrhage that was the size of a softball. Kathi was then in a coma. They took her off life support that night and did not expect her to make it for very long, however, after a long and sad 24 hours, Kathi passed away Thursday night.
Kathi was a wonderful missionary and dedocated temple worker. She did a lot of genealogy and family history work. She is going to be missed. I know that she was welcomed into heaven by many greatful people including Grandma Orpha and Grandpa Austin. I am so thankful that i know that i will be able to see her again one day.
This has been a very sudden and sad thing for her husband and kids to go through. Our family has been so lucky to not really have to experience death like this until now. It has really made me think about the relationships with the people in my family. You never know when that day is going to be your last. Just like Kathi didnt wake up on Wednesday knowing that she was going to die.
We are going to miss you Kathi. We love you and we will see you one day soon.
God be with you till we meet again;
By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you.
God be with you till we meet again.
God be with you till we meet again;
God be with you till we meet again;
When life’s perils thick confound you,
Put his arms unfailing round you.
God be with you till we meet again.
God be with you till we meet again;
God be with you till we meet again;
Keep love’s banner floating o’er you;
Smite death’s threat’ning wave before you.
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet. …
God be with you till we meet again
