Welcome to McDonalds, may i take your order?

Kassandra likes to sing in the shower. She is very creative and is always doing crazy stuff. One night when she was in the shower i heard her singing and jumping up and down but i couldnt figure out what she was says. I snuck in the bathroom and started to listen and she was singing "Welcome to McDonald's, may i take your order" It was the funnest thing ever. I love her so much! :)

Kassandra's first piano recital

She did great, she wasnt nervous, didnt miss any notes, i was so proud of her....I tried to me a great mom and record it and not being very smart i only got the last 10 seconds of it. I am waiting to get a copy from a friend of mine. She got an certificate for it being her first recital. She did great! :) I love her teacher, she is great with her. She says that Kassandra is picking it up so fast and is loving it. Although, she doesnt much like to practice. Oh well what can do you with kids.

8 WISHES

There was a movie that came out recently on Disney channel called 16 Wishes. I found out that Kassandra was keeping a wish list in her pillow case and it was 8 things she wanted to do before she turned 8. When i found this out it was the cutest thing ever. When i asked her if i could see the list, she told me that she had thrown it away. I said why? Because Mom, i had already done everything on my list. LOL....

It made me start thinking about my wish list. What i have been able to do in my life and what i still want to do in my life. Kassandra has so many things that she wants to do and so many dreams. I really wish i could of read the list. Im sure i would have gotten a laugh out of it.

Activity Day

I have a wonderful calling at church. I get to be the Activity Day leader. I love my girls. They are so much fun and they teach me so much about the gospel. We recently did a mother/daughter activity at the temple. These girls have such sweet spirits and they strive so hard to know the truth of the gospel. They know without a doubt that they are daughters of God. These are not all of the girls in my group. But i hope that each one of them know how much i love them and what a great example they are to me.

Recently, Kassandra got to officially be apart of Activity days. She is so excited. For the first week, every night she came and wanted to pass off an article of faith. I kept telling her she needed to wait until the activity. She is so excited she cant stand it. For the longest time she was just one of the girls, but now she is officially one of the girls! :) I am so excited to be her leader.

Need to vent.....

So about a week or two ago i had an interview at my job for a higher position. Honestly i was not really sure i really wanted to job. I was torn and had really iffy feelings about the whole thing. But i did it anyway. It was not the best interview i ever had, but i thought it was pretty good. There were two of us internaly that were going for this job. And then they interviewed like 7 people outside of the company. Anyway, on Friday i came back from lunch and found that my co-worker was in his second interview. A friend of mine came up to me and said that he was in the top three and that this was his second interview. I said what a good way for me to find out i am not in the running any longer.

I was so pissed. I am not pissed that i am not in the running any more. I am mad and upset that i have been with this company for almost 5 years and they did not have the respect to come to me before hand and say, Michelle I am sorry however, we have decided to go a different route. No that would be way too easy for them. No one has said anything to me as of yet. I am really upset by this. I am trying to be the bigger person and act like i could careless, but its hard.

Anyway, i needed to vent and get it out. Everything happens for a reason right. Something better with come along for me and it will be better for me and Kassandra. I just could really use the help right now. I keep praying that Heavenly Father will finally answer my prayer and give us what we need. But maybe i am not ready. I dont know what else to do to be ready?? Any suggestions?

My great family!

My family is great. We dont get to get together often, but when we do we have a great time. This gathering was a wonderful time. Everything went great. There was no fighting nothing. It was awesome. I wish every trip could be like that. Of course there were a few people that we would have loved to be there with us. But they were in our thoughts. I love my family and i hope each one of them know how much i love them. Its great to have two brothers that love me and look after me and my daughter. Also, i love having sister in laws. growing up being the only girls was a little difficult. And the babies, they are so freaking cute. LOVE IT!!! :)

Kassandra's Many Birthday's

Yes, Kassandra turned 8 and had a really fun birthday party. We went swimming and then had cake and presents. They had a lot of fun. And of course Kassandar has a lot of really great friends. She was really spoiled on her birthday. So much that she had two parties. One with her friends and other with her cousin Katelyn. They had a blast. My baby is getting so big.

She got a bed for Kit to sleep in.
She got a flute set for Kit.

Katelyn and Kassandra had a joint birthday part together when all of our family was together. They had a lot of fun sharing a birthday party. Their birthdays are really close together.

Great Grandma made Kassandra a quilt for her birthday.

She got a Lanie Doll for her Birthday.

Kassandra got Baptized

We had a very emotional fun filled weekend as Kassandra got baptized on Saturday July 3rd. She was so excited she could hardly contain herself. She looked so pretty in her white clothes. The spirit was so strong and i know that Kassandra could feel that she was making the right decision. Now that she has received the Holy Ghost, she has to act a little different. We have talked a lot about the feeling of the Holy Ghost and she said that she is ready for all the wonderful feelings it will bring.

We had a wonderful time with most of our family in town. Both of my brothers and their families came to town. My wonderful brother Charley was the lucky one to baptize her. My grandparents also came to town. Then we had a wonderful suprise when we found out that Granny was coming to town. We loved spending time with all of them. We love them so much and are so lucky we got to spend this wonderful weekend with them.

We also got to go to the temple and do the work for my great grandma Jones and her husband and her inlaws. It was a wonderful spiritual feeling. I have never done work for a family member so closely related before. The spirit was running so high. I could feel that my grandma was near and happy that we were there doing the work. I think that my Granny was also happy that this was done.

The only bad thing about the weekend was that we missing the fireworks. But that is ok, the rest of the weekend was wonderful! :)

My baby girl is growing up!

Time sure does fly. Kassandra's last day of school was yesterday and she is officially in the third grade. Man i cant believe it. And she is such a social butterfly. Here is what her week includes and then what my week includes. I am sorta jealous.

Monday: Group Lesson at Piano (me driving her to piano)

Tueday: Gymnastics (me driving her gymnastic and then working on self evalution for work)

Wednesday: Sleep over at Alyssa's house (driving her to Alyssa's house and then doing nothing)

Thursday: Rockies game (NOTHING)

Friday: Going to the zoo, while i am at work then going to the Dr. and then make up piano (maybe) (taking her to the DR and the piano)

So as you can see my daughter has a much more exciting life than i do. Man i wish i was younger and had more friends! Kassandra is so involved with friends and different things. I am so proud of her. I just wonder what its going to be like when she is a teenager!

Poetry Cafe 2010

Kassandra's class put on a poetry cafe for all of the parents. They each picked a poem out of their poem book to share with the group. It was the cutest thing ever. They sang funny songs and wrote great poems. Kassandras poem was about Water. I did a video of it however, she did it so fast you cant really tell what she is saying so i put both together! :)

Onomatopeoia
Water
Drip drop crash, crash
Water drops on the
Grounds drip drop i love
Water, Crash, crash
Water falls on the ground

They also sang the funniest version of Yankee Doodle Went to Town. They were so cute!! I love 2nd grade!!!!

Piano Lessons

Kassandra started Piano this last week. She is super excited about it and she is picking it up really fast. I am glad that she is so into it. The first week she practiced faithfully everyday for 10 mins. It was just the cutest thing ever. I did a video (with my new video camera!!!) like the third day she practiced. Keep up the good work Kassandra!

Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks. Each kid will play two sports and take either music or dance classes. There is no fast food. Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of 'pretend' bills with not enough money. In addition, each man will have to budget enough money for groceries each week. Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time--no emailing. Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment. He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Emergency Room.He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a school function. Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside, and keeping it presentable at all times. The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done. The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn themselves with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished, and eyebrows groomed During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, backaches, headaches, have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties. They must attend weekly school meetings and church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting. They will need to read a book to the kids each night and in the morning, feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:30 am.A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child's birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size, doctor's name, the child's weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child's favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear, and what they want to be when they grow up.The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if...he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment's notice. If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years, eventually earning the right to be called Mother! After you get done laughing, send this to as many females as you think will get a kick out of it and as many men as you think can handle it. Just don't send it back to me....I'm going to bed.

Springtime Fun Run-April 2010

Kassandra had a run where she had a goal to run or walk 5 laps which was 1/3 of a miles each lap. The were raising money for the school due to budget cuts next year. Anyway, Kassandra ran and walked a total of 6 laps. She raised over $200 for the school. We would like to thank everyone to donated money!!! Thanks Advanced Urology, and our home teachers!! I have posted some fun pics from the fun day.

Fun after the run!!!! All Kassandra's friends did a great job! Most of them ran anywhere between 5-8 laps. One girls did 12 laps, that was the most any of the kids did. I think they all had a really good time. Even the teachers had a great time!
